About the Opportunity

I’m currently working with a well-established international engineering contractor that delivers major mechanical and electrical projects across the UK and Europe. They are looking to strengthen their EHS team with an experienced EHS Advisor to support projects across London and Wales.

This is a site-focused role, working closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, subcontractors and the wider construction team to ensure projects are delivered safely, compliantly and to a high standard.

What You'll Be Doing

You’ll take a proactive approach to EHS across the project, providing practical advice and support while ensuring company, client and legislative requirements are being met.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Providing day-to-day EHS advice and guidance to project and site teams
  • Carrying out regular site inspections, audits and EHS reviews
  • Supporting the development and ongoing review of project EHS plans
  • Reviewing RAMS and ensuring they are suitable, compliant and communicated effectively
  • Monitoring EHS performance, KPIs and trends
  • Identifying risks and implementing corrective and preventative actions
  • Supporting and leading incident investigations and root cause analysis
  • Ensuring incidents and near misses are properly recorded, investigated and closed out
  • Delivering site inductions, toolbox talks and EHS training
  • Monitoring subcontractor compliance and site standards
  • Supporting environmental compliance and ISO management systems
  • Maintaining accurate site EHS documentation
  • Attending project, client and EHS coordination meetings
  • Preparing audits, reports and monthly KPI information
  • Promoting a positive safety culture across the project
What We're Looking For

We’re looking for someone with a solid background in construction EHS/H&S, ideally within an MEP, data centre, industrial or similarly complex environment.

You should have:
  • 3+ years' experience in a relevant EHS/H&S position
  • Experience working on construction projects with multiple contractors
  • Strong knowledge of UK construction legislation and CDM
  • A relevant Occupational Health & Safety qualification
  • Experience with audits, inspections, RAMS and EHS reporting
  • Experience investigating incidents and carrying out root cause analysis
  • Good understanding of ISO 45001 / ISO 14001
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive approach to site safety and risk management
  • The ability to work confidently with clients, main contractors and subcontractors
