The OpportunityI am currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join a leading national Facilities Management provider on a refurbishment project at a major client site in Wrexham.
The project will initially involve night shifts, paid at £400 per shift. Once the night works are complete, the project will move onto day shifts, paid at £300 per shift.
This is an initial 3-month contract with an ASAP start and would suit a Site Manager with experience delivering refurbishment, fit-out, M&E or small works projects within live operational environments.
The RoleAs Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of works on site, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring the project is delivered safely, compliantly and in line with programme.
Key Responsibilities Will Include- Managing and coordinating subcontractors and site activities
- Overseeing refurbishment, fit-out and associated M&E works
- Ensuring works are delivered safely and in accordance with programme
- Carrying out site inspections and monitoring quality and progress
- Reviewing RAMS and ensuring safe systems of work are followed
- Managing Permits to Work and site compliance documentation
- Ensuring high standards of Health & Safety are maintained throughout
- Liaising with the Project Manager, contractors and client representatives
- Providing regular progress updates and reporting
- Managing works within a live operational environment
- Supporting testing, commissioning and project handover where required
The successful Site Manager will ideally have:
- Previous Site Management experience within refurbishment, fit-out, M&E or Facilities Management projects
- Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades
- Experience working within live or occupied environments
- Strong Health & Safety knowledge
- Experience reviewing RAMS and managing permits
- Strong communication and reporting skills
- Ability to confidently manage works independently on site
- Flexibility to initially work nights before transitioning onto days
- SMSTS or SSSTS – Essential
- IOSH Managing Safely – Essential
- Full UK Driving Licence – Essential
- Relevant CSCS card
- NEBOSH desirable
