Join the Borgen Project’s Writer/Journalist Programme to create content for Borgen Magazine and the Borgen Project blog. This part‑time, 12‑hour‑per‑week, 12‑week unpaid remote programme offers a chance to contribute to advocacy work and build a creative portfolio. College credit is available.
About the Borgen ProjectThe Borgen Project is an international non‑profit that works at the political level to improve living conditions for people impacted by war, famine, and poverty. With 20 years of experience, the organisation has helped advance legislation benefiting nearly 500 million people worldwide.
Responsibilities- Write news articles and feature stories for Borgen Magazine or the Borgen Project blog.
- Research topics to support accurate and compelling content.
- Assist in the Borgen Project’s advocacy efforts.
- Create a personal fundraising campaign and meet set targets.
No prior experience required. We look for passionate individuals who want to fight poverty and right injustices, regardless of GPA or background.
Program DetailsUnpaid, remote, part‑time. A 12‑hour‑per‑week commitment over 12 weeks (flexible if you can complete the programme sooner). New programmes start every month—pick the month that works for you.
