English Teacher – Secondary Schools in Oswestry

Excell Supply are proud to be working in partnership with a number of secondary schools in the Oswestry area and are currently seeking a committed and enthusiastic English Teacher.

This role is ideal for a passionate educator who is able to deliver high-quality English lessons and inspire pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4. Opportunities are available on a day-to-day, short-term, and long-term basis, with potential for permanent positions for the right candidate.

The Role:

As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for:

* Delivering engaging and well-structured English Language and Literature lessons in line with the national curriculum

* Teaching across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 opportunities available in some settings

* Planning, preparing, and adapting lessons to meet the needs of all learners

* Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment

* Assessing, marking, and providing constructive feedback to support pupil progress

* Contributing to the wider life of the school and working collaboratively with teaching and support staff

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

* Recent experience teaching English in a UK secondary school setting

* Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English

* Effective classroom and behaviour management skills

* A flexible, reliable, and professional approach to work

* An Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service, or the willingness to obtain one
