About the RoleThe Authority is seeking a swimming coordinator to teach school swimming lessons across Wrexham Pools on a daily basis. The role involves planning school timetables, ensuring staff cover, arranging courses and complying with the Nofio Ysgol Framework, organising and overseeing events such as swimming galas and water safety festivals, and establishing and maintaining evaluation and monitoring processes to meet Swim Wales guidelines.
Responsibilities- Teach school swimming lessons across Wrexham Pools on a daily basis.
- Plan school timetables, ensuring staff cover, course arrangements and compliance with the Nofio Ysgol Framework.
- Organise and oversee events within the programme, such as swimming galas and water safety festivals.
- Establish and maintain evaluation and monitoring processes to ensure programme quality meets Swim Wales guidelines.
- Hold the ASA Level 2 Swimming Teacher Qualification.
- Hold either the RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification, the RLSS Rescue Test for Teachers Award or an equivalent.
- Demonstrate good organisational skills.
- Be an excellent communicator and team player with a high level of swimming teaching knowledge and commitment.
An Enhanced DBS is required for this position.
