Student Support Worker – Dunstable

Pay: £460 - £500 a week

SEMH Specialist School | Education & Training Sector

We are a specialist SEMH school in Dunstable looking for a dedicated Student Support Worker to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone passionate about supporting young people and developing a long-term career in the education and training sector.

In this Dunstable position, you will play a key role in helping students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs build resilience, regulate emotions, and re‑engage with learning in a supportive and structured environment.

About the Role – Student Support Worker

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEMH needs
  • Build positive, trusting relationships to promote emotional wellbeing
  • Support behaviour management, communication, and social development
  • Work with teaching staff to adapt lessons and improve engagement
  • Encourage participation in learning and whole-school activities
  • Help maintain a safe, stable, and inclusive environment for all pupils
