We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team, working within a KS2 classroom to provide targeted support to a small group of learners with additional needs
.

This is a full-time role for a passionate individual who is committed to helping children thrive both academically and emotionally, and who understands the importance of inclusive, child-centred practice.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEND in a KS2 setting
  • Support learners with a range of additional needs, including behavioural challenges
  • Implement behaviour support strategies in line with school policies and individual plans
  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider staff team
  • Encourage positive behaviour, engagement, and independence
  • Support learning activities while promoting emotional regulation and wellbeing
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to reviews and progress tracking
  • Previous SEND experience within a school or similar setting
  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or above
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
  • Experience supporting KS2 learners
  • Knowledge of ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or other additional needs
  • Team Teach or similar behaviour-management training
