Job Description:

As a Teacher of Humanities at Harlington School, you will deliver engaging lessons across subjects within the humanities curriculum, fostering curiosity and critical thinking among Key Stage 3 & 4 students. You will contribute to creating a supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.

• A strong interest in humanities subjects such as history, geography, or social studies
• Ability to plan and deliver effective lessons tailored to secondary school learners
• Good communication skills with both students and colleagues
• Willingness to learn, develop professionally, and adapt teaching methods
• Understanding of classroom management techniques
• Relevant qualifications or training in education or humanities

• Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the classroom
• Enthusiasm for inspiring young people through creative teaching approaches
• Patience, resilience, and adaptability when working with diverse student needs
• Collaborative mindset with a willingness to contribute positively to the school community
