Foundation Learning Teacher - Minera VA school About the Role

Part Time - 0.8

The Governors of Minera VA School wish to appoint an enthusiastic and creative teacher for a temporary post, due to start September 26. This is for a 12 month contract initially with a view to making the post permanent.

Minera VA School is a caring and dedicated school, which secures high standards for pupils’ learning and wellbeing.

The successful candidate will:

  • Believe in a holistic approach to teaching and learning where the well‑being of pupils is at the core of your practice.
  • Demonstrate high expectations and an understanding of the diverse range of children’s learning and behavioural needs.
  • Be aware of new initiatives within teaching such as the Curriculum for Wales and Additional Learning Needs (ALN) Reform.
  • Be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills to work within the school team, effectively manage and support teaching assistants and communicate well with parents/guardians.
  • Be confident and creative in the use of digital technology.
  • Be willing to take an active part in the wider life of the school.

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and can be arranged by appointment on the following dates:

Tuesday 2nd June 3:15pm

The closing date for applications is Friday 12th June.

Interviews will take place on week commencing 22nd June. Lesson observations will be conducted as part of the interview process.
