Teacher - St Teilo's Catholic Primary School
Salary: Pay Scale Within: £33,731 - £51,942. Governors of St Teilo's Catholic Primary School seek to appoint an excellent practitioner to cover the Welsh Sabbatical leave of our FT Nursery - Year 1 teacher.
Newly qualified teachers are welcome to apply. You will need to have the vision and commitment to share in the leadership and continued improvement of all that we do, helping to further develop standards and provision in what was the Foundation Phase.
We are looking for someone who:- Can support the Catholic ethos of the school and is an excellent classroom practitioner, with the ability to inspire and set high standards and expectations in all aspects of school and community life.
- Has a strong understanding of early child development and the Curriculum for Wales, including developments within assessment and progression.
- Is committed to child‑centred education, promoting the achievement and well‑being of children and understands the wider priorities of Welsh Government.
- Has a proven track record of, and commitment to, improving standards; is approachable, with excellent interpersonal skills, and is committed to parent partnerships.
- Has excellent organisational skills and can contribute to strategic development, day‑to‑day running, and maintain high‑quality teaching.
- Has significant experience as a teacher, particularly working with learners at PS1/PS2, and can offer core subject/ AOLE leadership experience if possible.
- A friendly, hardworking team of staff committed to school improvement.
- Supportive parents, carriers, volunteers and governors.
- A commitment to professional learning support to develop understanding of the Catholic faith and ethos at the school, and encouragement to implement new ideas.

Welsh language skills are desirable. Applications may be submitted in Welsh and will not be treated less favourably than applications submitted in English.
