Employability Coach – Wrexham Careers Centre
Candidates for this vacancy must have a minimum of Intermediate level Welsh language skills.
Salary £26,276 - £28,256. The starting salary is £26,276
- Support and inspire clients to secure the best possible career available for them.
- Provide information and advice to support clients to manage their careers.
- Provide employability support (help with CVs, job searching activities, etc.) to those seeking to return to work or change jobs.
- Help clients achieve sustained positive outcomes (education, training, employment).
The successful applicant will be working with a varied client group including young people in their final year of education who want to move on to work or training, parents, adults who are unemployed and seeking support to enter the workplace, and people in work who are looking for a career change.
Although Wrexham will be the base location for this role the postholder will be expected to cover the Queensferry Careers Centre in Flintshire.
Qualifications and RequirementsApplicants should be educated to Level 3 standard or equivalent, ideally in a related area such as advice and guidance. If you do not already hold the Level 4 Diploma in Career Information and Advice, training and support will be provided to achieve this qualification.
Welsh Language Skills Level Descriptor:
Intermediate: You’ll be able to understand and communicate clearly on everyday and work‑related topics, hold engaging conversations, and explain ideas, experiences, and plans with confidence. You should also be able to read straightforward work communications and produce clear, well‑structured emails or letters to share information, make requests, or organise activities.
The successful applicant will be required to have a Basic Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
