Teaching Assistant Level 2

Ysgol Min y Ddol wishes to appoint a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming team and to work in the Year 4 and 5 class. If you want to work in a supportive, happy and innovative environment, join us here at Ysgol Min y Ddol. The working hours are 8:45am to 3:15pm. 30 hours per week.

This is a welsh speaking role

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, energetic, fun, supportive, a good role model, and fluent in Welsh. You will work under the direct instruction of the class teacher and support pupils’ access to education, including:

• 1:1 support
  - Supporting an individual pupil one-to-one for a period each morning
• Classroom setup
  - Assisting with preparing the classroom environment
• Group work
  - Supporting groups of pupils during group activities
• Learner support
  - Supporting learners in the learning areas and as they complete challenges
• Facilitating curiosity
  - Facilitating and challenging learners while they explore and show curiosity in the learning areas
• Sharing progress
  - Sharing information about pupils’ progress with the class teacher
• Following school procedures
  - Following the class teacher’s direction and adhering to school arrangements, e.g. behaviour management
