The new call-out is seeking artists and experienced creative practitioners to become Creative Learning Partners, working alongside teachers and learners to embed creativity at the heart of classroom learning.

The Experiment Programme supports schools to develop enquiry-led learning experiences that respond to their own improvement priorities while strengthening literacy, health and wellbeing, and Creative Learning across the curriculum. By bringing together teachers and creative professionals, the programme helps young people develop curiosity, confidence and creative thinking through meaningful, hands‑on learning.

Creative Learning Programme Manager for Arts Council of Wales, Sian James
, said:

"Creativity has the power to transform how young people experience learning. Through the Experiment Programme, Creative Learning Partners work alongside teachers to bring fresh perspectives, spark curiosity and help learners develop the confidence and skills they'll need for the future. We're looking for creative professionals from across Wales who are passionate about making a lasting difference in education and who want to help shape learning in classrooms across the country."

Creative Learning Partners work collaboratively with schools to co-design, deliver and evaluate creative learning enquiries, using their expertise to inspire both learners and educators and to demonstrate the value of creativity as a catalyst for learning.

This latest opportunity forms part of Creative Learning Cymru's ongoing commitment to supporting schools across Wales to realise the ambitions of the Curriculum for Wales by embedding creative approaches that improve engagement, wellbeing and learning outcomes.

Successful applicants will receive paid training before being matched with schools across Wales to deliver the programme during the 2026–2027 academic year.

Applications are now open, with a deadline of 5pm on Wednesday 12 August 2026.
