We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced plumber looking to move into education and inspire the next generation of skilled tradespeople.

In this role, you will support the delivery of practical workshop sessions, helping learners develop the skills, knowledge and confidence needed for employment, apprenticeships or further study.

Job responsibilities:
  • Working within a modern workshop environment equipped with industry-standard tools, equipment and materials, you will help learners develop the practical skills, confidence and professional behaviours needed to progress into employment, apprenticeships or further study.
  • The role will involve supporting and delivering practical plumbing workshop sessions, demonstrating safe and effective working methods, preparing tools, materials and equipment, and working closely with the course team to support learner progress.
  • You will contribute to the development of learners' technical skills in areas such as pipework, jointing, domestic plumbing systems, installation methods, safe working practices and general workshop procedures.
  • You will also support the maintenance of a safe, clean and well-organised workshop environment, assist with learner supervision, contribute to record keeping where required, and help ensure that learners are supported to achieve high standards in their practical work.
Key requirements:
  • Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Plumbing or a related discipline
  • Relevant commercial or domestic plumbing experience
  • Strong practical skills with the ability to demonstrate safe working practices
  • Experience supporting practical learning or training is desirable
  • Good IT skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe workshop environment
  • Welsh language skills are essential for this role
