Teaching Assistant Level 2

The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this position.

30 hours per week, 38 weeks per year.

Working hours:

8:45am to 3:15pm.

Ysgol Min y Ddôl is seeking to appoint a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming team and work in the Year 4 and Year 5 classroom. If you would like to work in a supportive, happy, and innovative environment, we would be delighted to welcome you to Ysgol Min y Ddôl.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, energetic, fun, supportive, a positive role model, and fluent in Welsh. You will work under the direct guidance of the class teacher and support pupils' access to education, including:

• Providing 1:1 support for an individual pupil for part of each morning
• Assisting with setting up the classroom environment
• Supporting groups of pupils during group work
• Supporting learners in the learning areas and while they complete challenges/tasks
• Encouraging and challenging learners while they explore and learn independently
• Sharing information about pupils' progress with the class teacher
• Following the class teacher's instructions and adhering to school procedures, such as behaviour management policies
