Learning Support Assistant Bank Staff

The Supply Register, working on behalf of Coleg Cambria, is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join the colleges bank staff team.

What were looking for
The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt their communication style to meet individual learner needs.
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills at Level 2 or above.
- Empathy and an understanding of a range of learning difficulties and disabilities.
- Resilience, flexibility, patience and a good sense of humour.
- Previous experience supporting learners with additional learning needs in a classroom setting, or significant relevant personal experience.
- A genuine passion for empowering and enabling young people.
- The ability to build positive working relationships with learners and staff.
Confidence supporting groups of learners. - A positive and proactive approach to challenging behaviour.
- Welsh language skills are desirable for this role, as Coleg Cambria is committed to growing its bilingual provision and actively promoting the Welsh language and culture.
