Supply Maths Teacher

We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Maths Teachers to work on a supply basis in secondary schools across Wrexham and the surrounding areas
. Whether you are looking for flexible day-to-day supply work, short-term cover or a longer-term placement, we have opportunities to suit your availability.

As a Supply Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, following work set by the school or planning your own lessons where required. You will help maintain a positive learning environment, manage classroom behaviour and support pupils in developing their confidence and understanding of mathematics.

We welcome applications from Qualified Teachers with QTS
, as well as newly qualified Maths Teachers looking to gain valuable classroom experience. Applicants should have a strong knowledge of the Maths curriculum, excellent classroom management skills and a flexible, professional approach.

If you are a newly qualified teacher (NQT) or experienced maths teacher we offer roles which include delivering the curriculum in Key Stage 3 (KS3) to Key Stage 4 (KS4) with a possible work at Key Stage 5 (KS5).

As a maths teacher you’ll be expected to:

• Hold QTS status
• Teach all areas of the school curriculum or your subject specialism
• Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
• Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
• Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
• Maintain discipline
• Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
• Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
• Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
• Take part in school events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening
• Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools
