The Role

We are seeking an experienced Tank / Asset Integrity Inspector to carry out inspections of large and small storage tanks, as well as pressure systems, primarily at water utility sites across the Yorkshire region (ideally East Yorkshire).

As a Tank / Asset Integrity Inspector, you will inspect a wide range of equipment including GRP, HDPE, stainless steel, carbon steel, and bolted tanks. You will also inspect pressure vessels, assess asset condition in line with relevant legislation and client procedures, and determine continued fitness for service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out daily inspections of storage tanks, pressure systems, and associated assets at water utility locations across Yorkshire
  • Inspect equipment manufactured from GRP, HDPE, stainless steel, carbon steel, and bolted construction
  • Evaluate asset condition against relevant legislation, standards, and client procedures
  • Determine continued serviceability and fitness for purpose
  • Manage your own workload to meet contractual inspection targets
  • Work closely with clients to identify hazards and areas of concern
  • Produce clear, accurate, and high-quality inspection reports
  • Report on asset condition and provide appropriate recommendations
  • Work as part of a close, collaborative inspection team
Qualifications / Certifications
  • EEMUA 159 or API 653, or API 510 (essential)
  • NVQ or Eng Tech registration (advantageous)
  • Previously categorised in line with RG0, RG2
  • Full UK Driving Licence
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years’ inspection experience in a relevant inspection or asset integrity role
  • Previous experience within the utilities sector, particularly water
Required Skills
  • Strong problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Highly self-driven, with the ability to meet targets and use initiative
  • Good knowledge of relevant legislation and inspection procedures
  • Ability to identify defects and report findings to an appropriate technical level
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Competent in standard software such as Word, Excel, and email
