As an EC&I Specialist within our Maintenance & Reliability team, you'll provide expertise in calibration, automation, and fault diagnosis while supporting exciting site expansion projects and new technology implementation. This is an excellent opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment while contributing to plant reliability, continuous improvement, and the safe, efficient operation of a growing manufacturing site. This is a 4 on/off shift pattern, 2 days and 2 nights .
Key Responsibilities:
Own and deliver the site calibration programme, ensuring instrumentation remains accurate, compliant, and audit-ready.
Act as the EC&I technical expert on shift, supporting complex electrical, instrumentation, automation, and control system issues.
Diagnose and resolve faults using PLC, SCADA, and process control systems to minimise downtime and maximise equipment availability.
Troubleshoot, repair, and optimise electrical and control systems to support reliable plant performance.
Support the commissioning, qualification, and handover of new equipment and capital projects.
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to drive continuous improvement and share technical expertise across the maintenance function.
Knowledge, skills & experience:
Time-served apprenticeship in Electrical, Control, or Instrumentation Engineering.
Experience working as an EC&I Technician within a regulated manufacturing environment such as pharmaceutical, life sciences, or FMCG.Strong PLC fault-finding and control system diagnostic skills.
Experience with instrumentation, calibration, and maintenance best practices.
A proactive problem solver with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
