Job Role of the Maintenance Engineer A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business operating a busy 24/7 production facility in Wrexham. Working as part of a close-knit engineering team, you'll be responsible for maintaining a wide range of automated production and processing equipment, helping to maximise plant reliability and minimise downtime. This is a varied, hands-on role combining electrical fault finding with mechanical maintenance across conveyors and heavy plant machinery.

While there is a strong reactive element, you'll also carry out planned maintenance, support equipment inspections and get involved in the commissioning of new production lines and ongoing site improvements. Sector
- Manufacturing Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Maintenance Engineer Electrically biased maintenance background. Electrical Engineering qualification (City & Guilds, Level 3 or equivalent). 16th Edition Wiring Regulations or above. Manufacturing, FMCG or heavy industrial maintenance experience. PLC fault-finding experience. Comfortable working at height and within a physically demanding environment. Requirements of the Maintenance Engineer Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM). Reactive breakdown maintenance. Electrical fault finding.

PLC fault finding. Conveyors and production machinery. Bearings, belts and chains. Sprockets and mechanical alignment. Inspection and repair. Welding. Mechanical fault finding. Plant and facilities maintenance. Equipment commissioning. Health & Safety awareness.

Desirable Requirements of the Maintenance Engineer 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations. Experience working within a 24/7 manufacturing environment. Experience commissioning new machinery or production lines. Experience maintaining heavy plant or process equipment. The Maintenance Engineer will benefit from:
Salary up to £48,000 . 3 on 3 off days-only shift pattern. On-call payments at a minimum flat rate of 4.5 hours per call-out. 17th / 18th Edition training available where required. Working as part of an established engineering team. Varied electrical and mechanical maintenance exposure. Involvement in new machinery and production-line commissioning. Long-term stability with an established UK manufacturer.
