We are looking for (paid) placement students to help develop new composite technologies for exciting aerospace automotive electronics and other industrial applications.

We count on you for:

• Work under the supervision of a scientists/engineer on a project to develop new composite technologies

• Preparation and physical chemical and mechanical characterisation of resin/composite formulations

• Recording experimental results and observations accurately and concisely

• Collaboration with Solvay Research and Innovation colleagues

You will bring:

• Applicants must be part-way through a relevant technical degree (Materials Science Materials Engineering Chemistry Mechanical Engineering etc.) in a UK university and apply for this role as a year-in-industry placement

• Enthusiastic team player with strong verbal and written communication skills

• Proactive and creative with good problem-solving skills and a desire to learn

• Practical and hands-on with a commitment to safety
