Our client, a well-established civil engineering contractor, is seeking to appoint a Pre-construction Engineer to work on a major infrastructure project. This role offers a challenging scope of works, excellent exposure to complex engineering, and an opportunity to work on an exciting project. This is a fantastic opportunity to progress your career towards being a Project Manager.

Reporting to Project Managers, you will be responsible for managing a designated section of the works, including:

• Analyse incoming tender information to establish the scope of works, technical requirements, key constraints and information needed to prepare a compliant submission.
• Interpret drawings, specifications and project information to develop effective construction solutions, considering buildability, programme, sequencing, resources, logistics and associated risks.
• Engage with designers, suppliers and subcontractors to obtain relevant technical input, proposals and costs, assessing submissions to ensure they are suitable for the proposed works and provide value for money.
• Managing site engineering teams and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely and to programme.
• Monitoring site activities to ensure compliance with health & safety requirements and company procedures, resolving any issues promptly.
• Maintaining accurate records, as-built information, and quality documentation.
• Producing and updating short-term and monthly programmes for your section of works.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience in a Senior Engineer role within civil engineering
• A valid CSCS card.
• A full UK driving licence.
