Our client is seeking a part/newly qualified Accountant to join their office in Jersey. This position is perfect for individuals looking for a solid accounting role that allows for a good work-life balance, without the pressure of career advancement. The focus of this role is on team fit, accommodating candidates of all experience levels, from newly qualified to seasoned accountants. The successful candidate will have the chance to manage and review financial information in collaboration with fund administrators, while also handling various fund‑related tasks.

Job Duties:
  • Review quarterly and annual financial information for several fund entities (structured as Limited Partnerships), including schedules of investments, financial statements, and capital accounts prepared by fund administrators.
  • Liaise with administrators regarding the treatment of specific investment transactions.
  • Prepare weekly reports summarising transactions that have occurred.
  • Analyse current cash position, upcoming deals, and any other cash requirements in weekly reports.
  • Perform checks on capital call and distribution workings prepared by administrators.
  • Address ad‑hoc queries from administrators and investors.
  • Assist in dealings with auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.
  • Review financial information prepared by administrators for the General Partner company.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Operations team as necessary.
  • Maintain internal financial controls and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
  • Willingness to travel between locations, primarily to the Geneva and London offices.
Job Requirements:
  • Studying towards, or recently achieved, an accounting qualification.
  • Experience working within an audit firm or fund administrator is beneficial but not essential.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
