Financial Analyst

Role Summary

The Financial Analyst will analyse financial and operational data to support business planning, budgeting and decision-making. The role involves preparing financial reports and forecasts, monitoring financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities, and providing recommendations to management.

• Analyse revenue, expenditure, cash flow and other financial data.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts.
• Investigate significant variances and provide recommendations.
• Support the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Develop financial models for business planning and decision-making.
• Carry out cost-benefit, scenario and sensitivity analysis.
• Assess the financial viability of proposed projects, investments and business opportunities.
• Monitor relevant market, economic and industry trends.
• Prepare dashboards and presentations for senior management.
• Support improvements to financial controls, reporting processes and data quality.
• Work with internal departments to identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities.
• Provide financial information and supporting documents for audits and year-end reporting.
