An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Home Manager to oversee a specialised service for care leavers aged 16 to 18 in the Wrexham region. This position is ideal for experienced managers who have previously served as deputy managers or in similar leadership roles within care settings.

Your leadership will ensure that young people receive person-centred support, delivered with dignity, respect, and empathy.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide strong leadership and clear direction to support staff, ensuring the consistent delivery of quality care for care leavers.

* Oversee all operational aspects of the home, including staffing, compliance, health and safety, and regulatory standards.

* Develop and maintain positive, supportive relationships with young residents and their families.

* Promote a culture that values dignity, respect, and empowerment, creating a nurturing environment.

* Conduct regular reviews of residents’ needs, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop tailored care plans.

* Stay informed of current care practices, legislative updates, and comply with relevant standards and guidelines.

* Manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring the service aligns with organisational vision and values.

Requirements:

* NVQ Level 5 or Diploma in Health and Social Care Management.

* Proven management experience within a care leavers or adult residential setting.

* Strong understanding of mental health legislation, CIW standards, and best practices.

* Exceptional leadership and communication skills.

* Demonstrated ability to organise, problem-solve, and adapt in a dynamic environment.

* Experience with care management systems and Microsoft Office.

* At least two years’ experience working within children’s residential care.
