As a QC Microbiology Specialist, you will support technical operations through microbiological testing, data review, investigations and continuous improvement initiatives. Your role will contribute to precision, innovation and safety across exciting new development projects, fostering a culture of excellence. This is a shift‑based position consisting of 4 on / 4 off days, 8 am–7 pm.
We have recently invested €24 million in the Wrexham site, with an additional €86.4 million expansion underway—creating an exciting environment to join and grow.
Key Responsibilities- Perform and review microbiological testing of raw materials, in‑process samples and final products.
- Lead investigations into OOS/OOT results and support CAPA implementation.
- Conduct environmental and utility monitoring in cleanroom and controlled environments.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring inspection‑readiness.
- Provide training in microbiological techniques and support team development.
- Drive process improvements and support validation and project work.
- Experience in a similar role in a GMP‑regulated microbiology lab (pharma or biopharma).
- Proficiency in environmental monitoring, bioburden testing and microbial identification.
- Degree in a relevant life sciences subject (Microbiology preferred).
- Ability to work according to the shift pattern (4 on / 4 off days, 8 am–7 pm).
