Team Leader - Home Care

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team leader to join the Home Care Team.

The hours are 37 per week however job share would be considered.

The home care team provide a long‑term support to people living in their own homes within the borough of Wrexham in accordance to their assessed need to maintain their independence and to remain in their own home, support is provided by a team of support staff.

You will be based in Crown Buildings and qualified to NVQ level 2 as a minimum with the ability and commitment to achieve a higher qualification following successful recruitment.

• Have passion and the commitment to work in partnership with other Team leaders to ensure the efficient running of the service and ensure statutory guidance is being met.
• Ensure that the service provision is person centred, reliable and dignified.
• Maintain a caseload of people in receipt of the service.
• Manage a fast‑paced service and have the ability to respond to the needs of the service in a short time frame.
• Arrange and facilitate person centred plan assessments and reviews.
• Manage a small team of staff to include arranging and implementing rotas and rota management ensuring your service is sufficiently staffed.
• Assess staff competence in all aspects of their role during their shift patterns (this will require successful completion of the key trainer qualification).
• Participate in the out of hour’s on‑call arrangements and duty.
• Support the Registered Manager in the management of staff performance, conduct and absence, recruitment and probation.
