Join a Care Provider That Truly Values You Every Minute, Every Shift Health Care Assistant Torbay Pay: £17.00 per hour Job Types: Full-time | Part-time | Flexible Zero-Hour Contracts This role involves supporting children and adolescents with conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, emotional and behavioural difficulties, and other additional needs . You will play a vital role in helping young people feel safe, understood, and supported in their daily lives.

The Role As a Mental Health Healthcare Assistant, you will:
Provide consistent emotional support and reassurance to children experiencing anxiety, distress, or behavioural challenges. Support children with autism and ADHD to manage routines, transitions, and sensory sensitivities. Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, mealtimes, hygiene, and maintaining a structured routine. Implement behaviour support plans and positive behaviour strategies in line with care plans. Safely manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours using PMVA techniques where necessary.

Maintain accurate, clear, and timely records of care provided and incidents. To be successful, youll need:
At least 1 year of healthcare assistant experience in the UK Enhanced DBS A valid PMVA certificate (or willing to obtain this)

Experience with :
Mental Health support for children and adolescents Challenging behaviour Medication administration Safeguarding Level 2 or 3 A DBS registered on the Update Service Valid Manual Handling & Basic Life Support training Why Join MCS Healthcare?
