Assistant Psychologist

Responsibilities

• Assist the clinical psychology team with assessments, formulations and therapeutic interventions.
• Work closely with a multi‑disciplinary team that includes physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dietetics, speech and language therapy and advanced clinical practitioners.
• Collaborate with other departments, disciplines and agencies to support the team's work.
• Conduct psychological assessments using tests, self‑report measures, rating scales and semi‑structured interviews under the supervision of a qualified psychologist.
• Help formulate and deliver care plans that include psychological treatment of clients' difficulties through one‑to‑one and group sessions, also under supervision.
• Attend and contribute to multi‑disciplinary team meetings.

• Two Assistant Psychologist positions available, based in central and west areas of North Wales.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working with people.
• Ability to work confidently under supervision, follow direction, work in teams and adapt to the needs of the service.
• Strong commitment to clinical excellence and a willingness to develop professionally.
• Desirable: proficiency in Welsh;
  English and Welsh speakers are equally welcome.

The role is part of the Living Well Service MDT, which undertakes comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and formulation in collaboration with clients.
