Job Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and innovative Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist to join a well‑established, supportive and experienced Speech & Language Therapy Team. The position is a full time, permanent role.

Main Duties of the Job

We are looking to recruit a self‑motivated, enthusiastic and organised Speech and Language Therapist to join our well established paediatric service in BCUHB East IHC, covering Wrexham and Flintshire. The role involves working with children across a variety of settings, joining an integrated team with specialist therapists, providing assessment, advice and therapy to children with speech, language or communication needs, and working with children, families and supporting agencies.

We have a whole service approach, which means that whichever team you are based in, you will have strong links and access to the support of friendly, experienced SLTs and TIs working in all areas of paediatric Speech and Language Therapy. The department values flexibility, innovation and a passion for delivering quality patient‑led care.

We offer a comprehensive induction, high quality clinical supervision, regular team meetings and CPD opportunities. NQP support is strong and colleagues provide extensive skill and experience to help you develop as an SLT. Management and clinical supervision will be regular.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable;
Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome.
