Job Overview

Working as part of a team in a busy appointments call centre, booking a range of outpatient clinic appointments and theatre procedures. The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post.

Main Duties

The role is based in a busy call centre environment and is responsible for managing a waiting list and booking patients. The successful applicant will be part of a team of experienced staff and must have excellent communication skills, the ability to multi‑task, and the capacity to stay calm under pressure.

Person Specification Qualifications
  • Good standard of education; GCSE Maths and English A-C.
  • NVQ3 or equivalent, or knowledge or experience working in a busy office environment.
  • IT knowledge of Microsoft packages.
Desirable Criteria
  • Understanding of medical terminology / NHS experience.
  • Experience of working with NHS systems.
Skills

Essential Criteria
  • Experience of working in an acute hospital/GP practice or call centre environment.
  • Experience of working with the general public.

  • Experience of working with NHS systems.
  • Competent in use of Microsoft Office.
