Head of Podiatry and Orthotics

Job summary Lead and manage the Podiatry and Orthotics Service across the Integrated Health Community, ensuring effective operational delivery, clinical governance, professional standards, policy implementation, and high-quality patient care.

Main duties of the job Provide strategic leadership for service development and improvement, including workforce planning, service redesign, modernisation, change management, business planning, and the implementation of Health Board and national priorities. Manage people, resources, and performance, including budget management, financial governance, staff leadership, recruitment, training, appraisal, risk management, quality improvement, and performance monitoring. Provide expert professional and clinical leadership, maintaining a specialist clinical role while working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to develop services, improve outcomes, support innovation, and ensure compliance with professional and organisational standards.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post;

Management course.

HCPC registered. oMSc or equivalent level of knowledge.
