Aspire Blaenau Gwent is recruiting apprentices, each employed by Aspire and placed with a host manufacturing company for two to three years. Apprentices work for both the employer and the host, combining on-the-job work with a college course and training. Applicants must be aged 16 to 24 and the post is based on a 37-hour week, with selection by interview. Thorough pre-employment screening is carried out during recruitment.
Whatthe job involves
- Work for the employer and the host employer under standard terms and conditions
- Undertake training as part of the apprenticeship
- Attend a college course
- Five GCSEs at grades A to C including STEM subjects, depending on qualification pathway
- Pre-employment screening
- Aged between 16 and 24
- Successful selection process and interview
