Zixi provides enhanced control in large complex networks with ZEN Master, a live video orchestration and telemetry control plane that provides visual tools to configure, orchestrate, and monitor live broadcast channels and events across industry protocols. Over 15+ years, the Zixi Enabled Network (ZEN) has grown to over 300 technology partners and serves well over 700 customers representing most of the top media brands around the world with 10,000+ channels delivered daily.
Zixi is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join our expanding team in the United Kingdom. This early-career technical pre-sales role supports broadcasters, content owners, and media service providers as they design and adopt reliable live video delivery over IP and is part of our broader initiative to scale pre-sales coverage across EMEA. Working closely with Sales and Senior Solutions Engineers, you’ll help understand customer needs, translate requirements into practical workflows, deliver demos and proof-of-concepts, and support successful technical evaluations.

Customer Discovery & Technical Support
- Join customer calls to learn their live video workflows, pain points, and success criteria.
- Ask strong technical questions, take structured notes, and help summarize requirements back to the team.
- Support responses to RFIs/RFPs with accurate technical detail.
- Help design customer solutions using the Zixi Platform, including contribution, distribution, and monitoring workflows.
- Map customer requirements to Zixi capabilities and recommend configuration options.
- Partner with senior SEs to build technical proposals and diagrams that are clear and practical.
- Set up and run product demos (live or recorded), tailored to the customer’s use case.
- Assist in building POCs—installing software, configuring environments, running tests, and documenting results.
- Track POC progress, risks, and next steps; keep internal stakeholders updated.
- Provide hands-on support during trials and early deployments (configuration, performance tuning, and issue triage).
- Use logs, network tools, and methodical testing to isolate issues.
- Escalate effectively with thorough reproduction steps and supporting data.
- Work closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering to ensure customer feedback and requirements are captured.
- Contribute to internal knowledge bases, playbooks, and demo assets as you learn.
- Build expertise in Zixi systems, orchestration tools, and partner integrations.
- Stay current on trends in cloud video, broadcast contribution, and OTT delivery.
- Participate in training and shadowing to grow into full solution ownership over time.
- 1–3 years in a technical, customer-facing role (solutions engineering, technical support, network/video engineering, QA, systems engineering, or similar).
- Foundational understanding of IP networking (TCP/UDP, multicast, routing basics, firewalls).
- Comfort working in Linux and/or Windows environments (command line, installing software, reading logs).
- Interest in live video workflows and streaming technologies.
- Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.
