Interim Buyer

Your new company A leading manufacturing organisation is looking to appoint an experienced Buyer to join its procurement team on an initial six-month contract, with the possibility of a permanent opportunity at the end of the assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional who enjoys building supplier relationships, working closely with stakeholders, and supporting operational delivery within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Your new role Reporting into the procurement function, you'll support day-to-day purchasing and contract management activities across a range of indirect spend categories, including facilities management, utilities and office supplies.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing supplier relationships and supporting contract activities Working closely with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements Advising on procurement approaches that deliver best value and support business objectives Attending supplier meetings and supporting ongoing performance management Raising and managing purchase orders through SAP Maintaining accurate procurement data and system records Expediting orders and liaising with suppliers to minimise supply issues that could impact operations This is a hybrid position requiring three days per week on site in Wrexham.
