Shift Team Manager – Manufacturing

Salary: up to £66,000 + benefits

Scantec Recruitment is partnering with a global FMCG manufacturer to appoint a Manufacturing Shift Manager to join their operations team. This is a key role within the site’s leadership structure and offers real scope for long-term development.

Reporting to the Site Manufacturing Manager, you’ll oversee a full shift team, driving operational performance and ensuring all daily targets and standards are consistently met.

Shift Pattern
4 on / 4 off, 12-hour shifts (2 days, 2 nights), 6–6

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the senior on-shift representative for all matters relating to safety, quality, delivery and people

• Lead and manage your shift in line with company procedures and standards

• Drive performance through clear direction, coaching and regular feedback

• Develop capability across the team, supporting cross-functional skills and progression

• Promote safe working at all times and ensure Standard Operations are followed

• Maintain quality standards that meet both company and customer expectations

• Monitor KPIs and ensure targets are achieved or exceeded

• Work closely with support functions to balance resources and meet production plans

• Lead and contribute to daily and weekly operational and quality meetings

• Use lean tools to identify, deliver and sustain improvements

• Challenge non-conformance and support continuous improvement initiatives

• Communicate clearly through shift briefs and visual management, focusing on SQDCP priorities

Skills & Experience

We’re looking for an experienced Production/Shift Manager from a fast-paced FMCG or similar manufacturing environment. Strong people leadership, communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels are essential.
