Electrical Maintenance Technician – Wrexham

We have opportunities for Electrical Maintenance Technicians to join our Maintenance team in Wrexham on a 5‑team shift rota. The role will be at our production facility and involves the following:

• Risk assessment and safety awareness, guarding of machinery legislation.
• Developing and implementing modifications to improve reliability of plant and machinery.
• Working as a team with manufacturing and maintenance colleagues.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Working to a continuous shift pattern with necessary overtime to cover holidays.
• Adherence to Health & Safety with absolute priority.
• Lifting and handling plant and machinery components using appropriate equipment and techniques.
• Use of MS Office or equivalent.
• Ability to read technical drawings.
• Apply lock‑off procedures for machines and plant.

• Minimum of BTEC ONC level in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering or proven experience.
• Experience in all aspects of electrical maintenance engineering.
• Completed a recognised, certificated industrial apprenticeship in Electrical Maintenance.
• Significant experience in an industrial maintenance field.
• Self‑starter, proactive, prepared to take the initiative and work without direct supervision.
• Work well under pressure and practical approach.
• Team player with flexible attitude to overtime and shift cover.
• Electrical PLC, Instrumentation and Electronic drives knowledge.
• Using software to interface or diagnose faults on plant and machinery.
• Maintenance on large AC and DC motors.

Average working week of 36.5 hours
Staggered 4 on, 4 off shift pattern, 2 days then 2 nights (7am‑7pm/7pm‑7am). Every 10 weeks or 7 blocks on, there is an 18‑day break. There are 5 x 18‑day breaks within the rostered year. Christmas shutdown.
