JDR Recruitment are recruiting for Production Operatives to work for a manufacturing company based in Wrexham, LL13 Job Purpose To support the safe, efficient, and high-quality production of aerosol cans/metal containers, ensuring output targets are met while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities Production Duties Operate machinery involved in the manufacture of aerosol cans and metal containers Monitor production lines to ensure continuous operation Load raw materials into machinery and remove finished goods Carry out basic machine adjustments where trained Quality Control Inspect products for defects (e.g., dents, paint finish, print alignment) Perform routine quality checks in line with company standards Record production and quality data accurately Report faults, defects, or inconsistencies to supervisors Health & Safety Follow all site health and safety procedures at all times Wear required PPE (gloves, safety boots, eyewear, etc.)

Keep work area clean and hazard-free Immediately report accidents, near misses, or unsafe conditions Maintenance & Housekeeping Support basic cleaning and maintenance of machinery Keep production areas tidy (5S standards) Assist engineers or technicians when required Teamwork & Communication Work as part of a shift team to meet daily production quotas Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues Participate in shift handovers Working Conditions Fast-paced manufacturing environment Shift-based work (days & nights) Standing for long periods Exposure to machinery noise and industrial conditions Skills & Experience Essential Good attention to detail Ability to follow instructions and procedures Reliable and punctual Basic numeracy and literacy skills Ability to work as part of a team Desirable Previous experience in manufacturing/production Experience operating machinery Knowledge of health & safety in industrial settings Personal Attributes Strong work ethic Willingness to learn and be trained Flexible with shifts and overtime Positive and proactive attitude Shifts Rotating 3 week pattern that is repeated every 3 weeks - it averages out to 40 hours per work (1 week is 48 hours, 2 weeks are 36 hours) - All shifts are 7-7 days and nights An example of this shift pattern is:
Week 1: 1 Night & 2 Days Week 2: 1 Day & 2 Nights Week 3: 2 Days & 2 Nights Pay Rate Starting at £12.71 per hour - increasing to £13 - £13.50 once trained on the machines Temporary to Permanent JDR is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
