Production Operator
Hourly Rate (Post Probation): £14.45
Location:
Wrexham
Contract Type:
Full-Time, Permanent
Shift Pattern:
Shift 1. 6.00am to 2.00pm Monday to Friday.
Shift 2. 2.00pm to 10.00pm Monday to Thursday, 2.00pm to 6.00pm on a Friday.
Shift 3. 10.00pm to 6.00am Sunday to Thursday
About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and hands on Production Operator to join our established team within the masterbatch and plastics additives sector.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is committed to producing high quality products.
You’ll be operating production machinery, supporting blending and extrusion processes, and ensuring all materials meet strict quality standards.
Full training will be provided, with a clear pathway to achieving the post probation hourly rate of £14.45.
Key Responsibilities
Operate manufacturing machinery for masterbatch production
Prepare raw materials, weigh ingredients, and follow production formulas
Monitor production lines and carry out routine checks
Complete batch records and maintain accurate documentation
Perform basic machine maintenance and report any issues
Support quality control procedures, including sampling and visual checks
Adhere to all health & safety procedures and maintain a clean working environment
Work effectively as part of a team to meet production targets
About You
Previous experience in plastics, masterbatch, extrusion, or manufacturing preferred (but training can be provided)
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Comfortable working in a physically active role (manual handling required)
Ability to follow instructions, production schedules, and safety guidelines
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or in a team
Willing to work shifts
