Position: Apprentice Production Operator (Level 2)

We are a well-established manufacturer of masterbatch solutions, supplying colour and additive concentrates to the plastics industry. From our Wrexham site, we produce high-quality products used across a wide range of applications. We are committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in everything we do.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Level 2 Apprentice Production Operator. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in a manufacturing environment while working towards a recognised qualification.

You will learn how to operate production machinery, follow manufacturing processes, and contribute to delivering high-quality products efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the operation of production equipment, including extrusion and blending processes
Monitor production runs to ensure quality standards are met
Weigh and prepare raw materials in line with production specifications
Carry out basic quality checks and report any issues
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures
Work collaboratively with production and technical teams

What We’re Looking For

A keen interest in manufacturing or engineering
GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English (Grade 3/D or above preferred)
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
Basic numeracy and communication skills
Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Apprenticeship Details

Qualification:

Level 2 Production/Manufacturing Operative Apprenticeship
Duration:
Typically 12–18 months
Training:
Combination of on-the-job learning and formal training with a recognised provider
