Are you an experienced senior marketing leader looking for your next interim opportunity? Join a dynamic, established organisation working in a high-impact leadership role, managing marketing, content and events during an exciting period of growth and transformation. This is an opportunity to shape the organisations brand, lead a talented team, and oversee major flagship events.

In the Interim Manager / Head of Marketing, & Communications role you will be:
  • Leading the organisations marketing, content and events functions
  • Managing brand strategy and the delivery of multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Overseeing the creation of high-quality digital and corporate content
  • Planning and delivering key events including Open Days
  • Providing leadership, direction and support to the marketing and content team
  • Getting involved in the day-to-day operations, supporting Interim Director
To be successful in the Interim Manager / Head of Marketing and Communications job, you will need:
  • Significant senior-level marketing and communications leadership experience
  • A strong background in brand, content and strategic marketing delivery
  • Experience managing large-scale events and stakeholder engagement
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams
  • The ability to think strategically and be comfortable talking on a hands on approach
  • Experience with in higher education or a similarly complex public sector organisation (advantageous)

This is an immediate start temporary assignment until the end of December 2026, working 37 hours per week, standard pattern is Monday-Thursday 8:30-17:00 and Friday 8:30-16:30, however 29.6 hours would also be considered (4 days).

You'll be on an hourly pay rate of £40.00 per hour plus accrued holiday depending on skills and experience.

This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of two days per week on site in Wrexham, with flexibility around working patterns for the right candidate.
