About the Practice
Our Vets for Pets practice in Wrexham Plas Coch is looking for an enthusiastic, professional individual to join their vibrant team as a Registered Veterinary Nurse on a full‑time basis.
Wrexham is in the North of Wales, just inside the Wales/England border, close to areas of outstanding natural beauty along the coast or land like Llangollen. The practice itself is inside Pets at Home on Plas Coch retail park to the north of the city, which is well connected by local transport links.
Since opening over 10 years ago we have grown a very loyal client base within the local community. We are a busy practice but with our friendly team we have the support in practice to allow us to deal with emergencies or day‑to‑day consults. Our nurses undertake their own consults and also Schedule 3, working in practice which draws the best out of the whole team and releases pressure on our vet team.
We have a number of certificate holders in practice, allowing a wealth of knowledge, and we highly encourage own development. We also have dental radiography which nurses are trained in and this is encouraged.
Our friendly team is currently made up of 6 Vets, 4 RVNs, 2 SVNs, 3 VCAs, 3 Receptionists and a Financial and Client Coordinator, led by our Practice Manager. This offers fantastic support and gives nurses time to focus on their patients.
Team ExpansionWe have recently undergone a large expansion, offering two new consult rooms, a dedicated dental suite, imaging suite and a large operating theatre.
About the RoleWe are looking for a full‑time nurse to join our team working a mix of early and late shifts (8:30am to 4:30pm and 11am to 7pm). We are happy to consider part‑time hours.
There is one Saturday in six that you will be required to work on a rota basis, but there is no Sunday or OOH working, which enables an optimal work/life balance.
By joining us in this rewarding position, you will be part of a passionate and friendly team dedicated to providing world‑class clinical care.
