The post holder will be responsible for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of evidence‑based nursing care, working collaboratively and co‑operatively with others to meet the needs of patients and their families. The role also involves assisting with the management and organisation of the clinical area, participating in education, development and supervision of other staff members, and ensuring the Fundamentals of Care are maintained to a high standard.

The successful candidate will work as a Band 6 Sister / Charge Nurse on Mason Ward (Internal Rotation) Surgical Ward, with a Trauma and Orthopaedics specialty. Responsibilities include mentorship of Student Nurses, preceptorship of newly qualified nurses and support of the ward sister in the overall management of Mason Ward.

• NMC Registered Nurse
• Evidence of a degree‑level qualification or working towards this within an agreed time frame.
• Evidence of CPD holds or actively working towards a relevant Post‑graduate Diploma, to be completed within an agreed timeframe.

• Management qualification or experience.
