A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Quality Technical Executive to join our award winning Global, Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Company
A day in the life of a Quality Technical ExecutiveAs a Quality Technical Executive working in the QC department, you will work in a team responsible for the coordination and timely execution of calibration, service and qualification of all QC laboratory equipment, ensuring equipment is kept in a state of control and compliance. You will complete routine calibrations, service and preventative maintenance on analytical laboratory equipment, as specified in the equipment schedule and in a manner that satisfies GMP and Health and Safety standards.
You will resolve breakdowns associated with laboratory equipment and software in a timely manner and provide technical support to QC personnel for any issues arising during the routine use of equipment. You will participate in the qualification of new laboratory equipment, including writing & execution of protocols and reports (URS/DQ/IQ/OQ/PQ).You will generate and prepare quality documents e.g. SOP’s and controlled documents.
You will support investigations into issues impacting analytical equipment.
- The ideal candidate will be a graduate (or equivalent) in a relevant scientific discipline with previous experience working in a pharmaceutical GMP QC laboratory.
- You will have some previous technical experience and hands-on working knowledge of analytical systems such as balances, HPLC, GC, Chromatography Data System (CDS) e.g. Waters Empower software, UV and IR, with the ability to calibrate, maintain & troubleshoot these systems.
- You will possess a good team-working approach and excellent written verbal communication and interpersonal skills. You will want to learn and have a natural curiosity to understand equipment and processes.
- You will have strong computer skills and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications. You will also possess a thorough understanding of current GMP, Health and Safety and COSHH regulations.

You will be working from our Wrexham based site which is home to our MHRA approved sterile injectable manufacturing facility.
