Salary: £24,804 - £24,999 per annum (pro-rata for part-time) or £12.85 - £12.95 per hour

Working Hours: Hours can include early mornings or evenings (6:30-9:30am / 4pm-7:30pm / Evening events / day events)

About

The Role

As a Cook in Leicestershire Traded Services, you will assist the Head chef with the preparation, cooking and distribution of meals, including hospitality catering and special dietary needs. You will also be required to undertake cleaning of premises and equipment.

In the absence of the Head chef, you will be required to liaise with the Front of house team regarding their requirements, share this information with catering colleagues, and take responsibility for the operation of the kitchen including the production of food.

On occasion, you may be required to work from other locations within a reasonable geographical distance.

A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.

About You

To apply for this post, you must:

  • Hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and be willing to undertake any required training.
  • Have previous large scale cooking experience.
  • Have basic knowledge of food safety and health and safety.
  • Be able to establish rapport with children and young people.
  • Be able to work as part of a team.
  • Have a flexible approach to work including working outside of normal working hours and the ability to travel to various locations.
