About the Role
North Wales Adoption Service (NWAS) - Sessional Social Worker

The North Wales Adoption Service is a highly successful and innovative regional service providing high-quality adoption services for children requiring adoptive placements. We are currently expanding and developing our range of services for adoptive families, making this an exciting opportunity to join our team.
We are seeking Sessional Social Workers to undertake a range of adoption social work duties, including:
- Completing Prospective Adopter Reports (PARs)
- Undertaking Social Work assessments
- Supporting wider Adoption Service priorities and needs
We welcome applications from experienced, registered social workers who:
- Hold a recognised social work qualification
- Have experience working within the field of adoption
- Are registered with the relevant professional body
- Can work across the North Wales region in line with service demands
Candidates living in any area of North Wales are encouraged to apply.
Welsh language skills are desirable but not essential.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful post holder will be responsible for delivering high-quality adoption social work practice in accordance with:
- Relevant legislation
- Statutory guidance
- National regulations
- Service policies and procedures
