Are you passionate about championing the rights of children and young people? Wrexham Children's Services is seeking an experienced and motivated Independent Safeguarding and Reviewing Officer (ISRO) to provide independent oversight of safeguarding and care planning arrangements for children and young people.

As an ISRO, you will chair statutory reviews for children in care, scrutinise Child Protection arrangements, and ensure plans remain focused on achieving the best possible outcomes for children. You will provide constructive challenge, promote good practice, and ensure the voices of children and young people are central to decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:

• Chairing statutory reviews for children in care.
• Monitoring and reviewing care plans and safeguarding arrangements.
• Promoting children's rights, wishes and feelings.
• Providing independent challenge to support effective care planning and service improvement.
• Working collaboratively with children, families, carers, professionals and partner agencies.
