We have an exciting opportunity to join the Repatriation and Prevention Project (RAP), a specialist therapeutic service supporting foster carers, adoptive parents, kinship carers, children, young people and families across Wrexham and Flintshire.

As a Therapist, you’ll be part of a skilled and supportive therapeutic team, providing assessment, consultation and therapeutic intervention, working collaboratively with carers, families and professionals to improve outcomes and promote placement stability.

• Deliver therapeutic interventions that support foster carers, adoptive parents, kinship carers, children and young people.
• Work alongside carers to strengthen relationships, build resilience and improve outcomes for children.
• Assess therapeutic needs and develop intervention plans that promote placement stability and prevent family breakdown.
• Provide consultation, guidance and therapeutic parenting support to carers and professionals.
• Collaborate with social workers, education colleagues and partner agencies to deliver coordinated support.
• Contribute to a trauma-informed, relationship-based service through effective assessment, reporting and outcome monitoring.

• A recognised therapeutic, counselling, social care, psychology, mental health or related professional qualification.
• Registration with an appropriate professional body.
• Experience of delivering therapeutic interventions with children, young people and families.
• Strong relationship-building, assessment and report-writing skills.
• Commitment to attachment-informed, trauma-informed and relationship-based practice.
• Knowledge and experience of working with foster carers, adoptive families, kinship carers or looked after children. Experience of DDP, PACE, Theraplay or therapeutic parenting approaches is desirable.
