Medical Assistant - Oncology - 40 Hours - Days

• Patient preparation, vital signs, record updates, and procedure information.
• Clinical assistance with physicians and nurses: phlebotomy, injections, specimen collection, biopsies, and other diagnostic tests.
• Administrative duties: scheduling appointments and maintaining electronic health records.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
• Clinical skills in ambulatory patient care.
• Problem‑solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical record preferred.
• Medical Assistant program graduate with a 160‑hour externship or one of the following:
  • Completed program without externship but with at least one year of clinical experience within the last five years.
  • Current professionally recognized Medical Assistant certification with five years of experience.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • Licensed Paramedic/EMT with at least one year of clinical experience within the last five years.
  • Military trained medical personnel with at least one year of clinical experience within the last five years.
• Current BLS certification upon hire.

• Exposure to communicable diseases.
• Manual dexterity required; walking, standing, stooping, and occasional heavy lifting.
