Hellas, Inc., the leading sports construction company in North America, is seeking an experienced Senior Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair construction equipment and fleet vehicles. The position is based at our Dallas‑Fort Worth Wylie, TX yard with limited travel (30‑40%) to project sites as needed. Hellas specializes in sports facility construction and innovative artificial turf manufacturing, supporting projects across the country.

• Perform diagnostics, inspections, and repairs on a wide range of construction equipment, including loaders, dozers, trucks, pavers, and trailers.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance and maintain accurate service records for all vehicles and machinery.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly cared for and stored.
• Monitor inventory levels of parts, supplies, and tools; coordinate with vendors as needed.
• Travel to job sites to perform field repairs or conduct equipment assessments when required.
• Communicate with project managers and operations teams to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime.
• Participate in equipment evaluations and make recommendations for replacement or upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with all DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards.

• Minimum 8‑10 years of hands‑on experience with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and heavy construction equipment.
• Technical certification or trade school degree in diesel mechanics or a related field preferred.
• Bilingual in English & Spanish highly desirable.
• Excellent mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient with maintenance tracking systems and basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; CDL is a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Self‑starter with a solution‑focused attitude and ability to multitask in a deadline‑driven environment.
